Junior Mission Control Manager

We are seeking a Junior Mission Control Manager to join our pioneering team in the stratospheric domain. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct pre-mission forecasting and simulations to ensure optimal mission planning.

- Coordinate the Launch Team from the Mission Control Room during launches, ensuring seamless communication and operation with the team on the launch site.

- Perform remote system checks on launch site equipment, monitoring system health via sensor data, telemetry, remote sensing, and positioning systems.

- Liaise with the Air Traffic office to coordinate launch approval and ensure safe launch conditions.

- Make critical decisions regarding launch commands, including go/no-go for liftoff, mission aborts, and adjustments to mission timing or objectives.

- Monitor the flight and mission status in real-time, ensuring mission objectives are being met safely and efficiently.

- Activate manual commands to modify mission parameters as needed, supporting the automatic systems on board the pseudo-satellite.

- Produce detailed mission reports, documenting the mission process and outcomes.

- Collaborate closely with the CTO, Aerospace Software Developers, and Avionics Specialists to ensure mission success.


Basic Qualifications:

- Proven experience in mission control or similar roles in aerospace or high-altitude platforms.

- Strong skills in pre-mission simulations, forecasting, and real-time decision making.

- Expertise in telemetry systems, remote sensing, and positioning systems.

- Experience coordinating with regulatory bodies such as Air Traffic Control.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage high-pressure decision-making situations.


Preferred but not required:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience in stratospheric missions or pseudo-satellites.

- Familiarity with real-time mission monitoring systems and launch site operations.
