Role description
Responsibilities
- Support the CEO and U.S. partners/shareholders in developing the business in the U.S. market (commercial, defense/dual-use, institutional).
- Identify and qualify new commercial opportunities, clients and strategic partners in the United States (government agencies, prime contractors, spaceport ecosystem).
- Conduct market research and scouting in the aerospace, defense, Earth Observation and emerging technology sectors.
- Support business development activities (outreach, calls, meetings, follow-ups).
- Manage, update and monitor the commercial CRM and the sales pipeline.
- Prepare commercial presentations, offers, documentation and sales materials.
- Support management and U.S. partners during strategic meetings, negotiations and partnership discussions.
- Help organize participation in industry fairs and events in the U.S. (e.g. Space Symposium, IAC, Houston Spaceport ecosystem initiatives).
- Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams in Italy to align commercial strategy, product and go-to-market.
Must have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Engineering, International Relations or related fields.
- Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken (C1+ level or native speaker).
- Strong interest in startups, innovation, technology or the aerospace sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with a strong commercial attitude and results orientation.
- Accuracy, organization and the ability to manage multiple activities at the same time.
- Proactive, curious personality, eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship or work authorization).
Nice to have
- Previous experience in internships, sales, business development or startups.
- Knowledge of the U.S. market or aerospace ecosystem.
- Knowledge of CRM tools such as HubSpot, Odoo, Salesforce or similar.
- Interest in B2B sales, institutional sales or international markets.
- Knowledge of a third foreign language.
- Passion for deep-tech, the space economy, AI or industrial innovation.
